Music Director – Kevin Zakresky

Kevin Zakresky is a choral and orchestral conductor living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has directed international touring productions of The National Geographic “Symphony for our World,” the Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses, Sonic the Hedgehog Symphony, and the “Heroes” Video Game Symphony—performances that have seen him conduct 60+ symphonies in Atlanta, Cincinnati, San Francisco, Miami, Toronto, Baltimore, London, Dublin, Miami, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Santiago, Montreal, San Diego, Baltimore, and many others.

In Vancouver, he is Director of the Titus Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Spirit Choir, and Maddalena’s Descant, a new women’s vocal ensemble. He is the past Music Director of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra and past Conductor of the Pacifica Singers, an affiliate ensemble with the Vancouver Chamber Choir.

Zakresky received a Doctoral degree in Choral Conducting at Yale University in 2012.

Accompanist — Geordie Roberts

“Geordie” Roberts is a graduate of the School of Music UBC and the Vancouver Academy of Music. As a long-time member of the Vancouver Chamber Choir, he was a frequent soloist in concert and on recordings. He is  a recently-retired  faculty member at Capilano University Music Department, and the Co-ordinator of Music at Highlands United Church.  He is highly regarded for his ease of vocal production and expressive singing. In addition to keeping busy singing, teaching and conducting, George is also a gifted accompanist and coach.  A published composer and arranger, George’s choral music is available on the Cypress label. Geordie makes his home in North Vancouver with his wife, Frances, and they enjoy the company of three very musical sons: Aidan, Garreth and Liam.
