The Pacific Spirit Choir is a community choir hosted at West Vancouver United Church on Vancouver’s North Shore in British Columbia, Canada. Our mission is to create community and enrich the lives of our audiences and members, at home and abroad, through meticulously prepared, passionate performances of great choral works. Our repertoire ranges from large oratorios and Masses of composers from the 17th to the 21st century, to shorter choral gems, ancient to modern, classical to jazz, serious to humourous.
Touring is a also a major focus of our group: we have completed five tours to Europe in the past ten years. Our last tour, in May 2015, was in France and Spain. On that tour, in Barcelona, we sang in Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia whose concert organizer deemed us the “finest choir to have sung there in the last five years”.
Rehearsals are held weekly from September to May on Wednesday evenings from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave. (21st and Marine Drive) in West Vancouver. Typically, there are four concerts each season.
