The Pacific Spirit Choir
We are a community choir hosted at West Vancouver United Church on Vancouver’s North Shore in British Columbia.
Our vision is to be a premier concert choir enjoyed for its repertoire of entertaining and engaging music. It ranges from large oratorios and Masses of composers from the 17th to the 21st century, to shorter choral gems, ancient and modern, classical to jazz, serious to humorous. Our mission is to present meticulously prepared, passionate performances so as to create community, increase vocal and musical skills of our members and enrich the lives of audiences at home and abroad. To find out how to join us, click here.
Our Music Director – Kevin Zakresky
Dr. Zakresky obtained a Bachelor and Master of Music degrees (Choral Conducting) from UBC and then a Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Yale University where he specialized in Choral Conducting.
Since then, he has been Music Director of the Players and Singers Ensemble and the Vancouver Women’ Choir, conductor of the Pacific Singers, Director of Choirs at Capilano University and worked with Chor Leoni and the Vancouver Chamber Choir.
He also has significant orchestral conducting experience having been Music Director of the Prince George Symphony and has conducted many orchestras as a guest including the St Louis Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic and the Fort Worth Symphony.

We are a registered non-profit Society who generate revenue from choir member dues, concert admissions and donations from people like you.
